The remote is OEM, but it took longer to ship than I expected. Glad it arrived, well packed and working great.
The controller works perfectly with my existing fan/light. Every function works as it should. The shipping process took almost a month. I was pretty upset about that, however I could not find any other replacement options that would work.
Works great! Doesn’t come with a battery so be sure to order one. I knew because of the reviews I read.

Got it hand it to them, it's perfect except for the color. You have to turn off the fan at the wall switch or circuit breaker and within 30 seconds of turning it back on press and hold to learn button in the battery compartment for 5 seconds. My light flashed a few times and after that the remote worked perfectly!
So disappointing, bought my GE ceiling fan just a couple of years ago, and only use during the summer. The remote stopped working and it is the only way to turn on my fan. Replacement remote is out of stock. I guess everyone else has had to replace the remote for this fan. Nothing is made to last these days !!!

The only reason I gave it a 1 star is due to the fact that it did work for the Mazon fan light fixture in the room. Just purchase the home that had the mazon light fixture. I am hoping that an electrician can fix the issue. Maybe a wiring problem.

The SONY remote that came with our Bravia TV has a face-plate that is nearly as dark as the remote's buttons -- very hard to find the desired buttons in a dimly lit room. My wife and I were delighted to discover the Sony RMFTX621U Backlit remote. It has a slightly lighter face-plate for better contrast, and the lights make using the remote a joy instead of a chore.
This SONY backlit remote uses the same style AAA batteries (2) as the SONY remotes without a backlight. Pick up the remote and the lights turn on. Sit the remote down and a few seconds later, the lights go off.
After we matched it to our TV, which took under 20 seconds, it worked perfectly and to our total satisfaction.
Works right out of the box exactly like my original CM7500 worked with a Roku tv: you cannot adjust volume with it. Hafta use the roku remote for that!
