This Anderic Remote control and receiver kit will work on most Hampton Bay Windward III Ceiling fans with UP/Downlights, Low, Med, High, Off fan, and Reverse.
The original Remote (CHQ8BT7096T with Red/orange Light button) is discontinued and no longer available anywhere. There are similar models of the CHQ7096T that we sell, but they will not work on your Windward III fan. If you want a remote to work with your fan, you must buy this kit. NOTE: This remote will not do the thermostatic functions, but that is not needed for the fan to operate.
Original Receiver: (UC7067RK with up light, down light)
Original Remote: (CHQ8BT7096T with red/orange light button and for/rev button)

Warning: Cannot use just the new receiver with original remote because they ware not compatible with each other. Nor can you use the Original Receiver with our New remote because they are not compatible with each other.
